Our Mission
To participate in the cultural, civic and charitable development of the Eastern Community of Greater Birmingham.
The Eastern Women’s Committee of Fifty was organized in April, 1986 by Irene Southard Collins. The purpose of the Eastern Women is to improve the Eastern Birmingham communities and enhance the quality of life for others through community service, leadership in civic organizations, or outstanding professional accomplishments. Since then the Eastern Women’s Committee of Fifty has raised over $1.1 million and volunteered over a thousand hours to benefit the Eastern Community of Greater Birmingham.
